Fitness tip of the day
Find small ways to "sneak" in physical activity...ie park at the back of parking lots, take the stair instead of the elevator...use you bare hands to kill the Zombie horde instead of a shotgun...ok maybe not the last one...keep using that shotgun!!!!

New Ventures and a New Chapter
So I am trying to open my own business for personal training called Former Fat Kid. I am excited about doing so but also scared shitless because it is probably the most grown up thing I have done in all my life. Also knowing if it fails it is due to me not doing something right. I mean personal training is not anything new or shiny...it is selling a dream. I dream of being healthier and feeling great and in reality is a long and rough road which smoothes out little by little over time as good habits build up. Motivation is a tough thing to do...also with circus training stuff I will be a busy boy but I am up for the task. Just have to remind myself I can take over the world if I put my mind to it!!!! Just one step at a time!

Fitness Tip for today
Metabolism and Muscle:
The best way to increase toy metabolism is weight training. The muscle mass you have the more fat you burn when you are doing nothing at all. To gain muscle mass you need hypertrophy.....which is the opposite of atrophy, which means big strong muscles. What does this mean at the gym? Limited your number of reps to 4-6, instead of 10-12. Make sure that last few are hard...like I don't know if I can do this last one hard!!!!! The about a minute to 2 minutes rest. Have fun everyone..here is some pretty circus stuff
